So what Is Kindle everyone talking about? It is an Amazon’s latest marvel in technology, so let’s get right down to what is Kindle and how it will change how you view your reading material.

The Kindle is an electronic reader, also known as a portable e-reader. Currently there are 3 different models available; the Kindle DX, Kindle 3G, and Kindle WiFi.

And What Is Kindle 3G?

The proprietary hardware and software combination developed by Amazon, utilizes either standard wireless connectivity, or Amazon’s 3G “Whispernet” network. This enables you to browse, shop for, download and read e-books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, and other digital media anywhere you have connection.

Once the media has been downloaded onto your Kindle, you do not even need an internet connection to read whenever, or where ever you want!

Similar to other electronic reading devices, the Kindle uses an e-ink electronic paper display that displays up to 16 shades of gray, minimizes power consumption and simulates reading on paper. The latest version of e-Ink technology, called e-Ink Pearl, is utilized on the latest version of the Kindle DX.
